Sorry to hear of your illness. Being sick is no fun and when we are in the middle of it feels like it will remain forever. The good news is it normally doesn’t. Glad you are back on top.
Thanks Helena - I know, especially when you dont feel things improving. Just got to keep doing the right things and hopefully it will pass. We got there in the end.
Yes, nearly there now. I weirdly enjoyed tracking it on my fitness device - still seeing an effect even though I cant actually feel it. Just shows that we need to take the time to get better and be patient,
At least you know what it is, so if you keep doing what you're doing it will pass eventually. It must be very disorientating though for someone who's usually so energetic and positive.
Yeah, it was disorientating. That's a good way of putting it. Usually its a case of gradually feeling better on an upward trajectory but the feeling better and then getting worse again is pretty strange.
Hi Chris - yes, you're right. It definitely about being kind to yourself and taking the right steps to get back to health. You definitely appreciate feeling well when you do start to improve.
Hi Chris - yeah, there depression afterwards was not something ive experienced before but I understand it can be quite common after fighting a virus for a few days.
I spent four days in the hospital earlier this month with pneumonia and sepsis. As in your case, my body literally turned against me. In both cases, we are lucky.
I experienced a similar viral thing. I went from completely healthy to total collapse in one day. It took me two months to recover (worse than any Covid I have had).
Wow, two months! It's incredible how quickly these things can come on. It somehow makes you feel very mortal but also appreciative of when you do feel better again.

Oh yes, I love to see the data for this stuff, too. Which device do you use? (I use Whoop).
Yeah - I use whoop. Really enjoying it.
I wish you a speedy recovery Martin! 😘

Through it now and definitely appreciating it!
Yikes! Sorry to hear this, Martin. I hope you are on the road to recovery. Take as much time as you need!

I hope you recover fully quickly. Be kind to yourself x
Totally right. Feeling much better now thanks. So easy to rush back and then for things to take longer than needed.
Welcome back Martin! Hope you are on the mend.
Definitely feeling much better now. thanks Jeanine.
Sounds absolutely awful Martin. I've heard there are some nasty bugs around but that's the worst I've heard.
Glad you're on the mend now.

Wishing you the best. Thank you for this essay.
Oh gosh Glenn - sepsis is pretty dangerous. Are you better now?
Yes. About 80% there. I’m very fortunate.

You poor thing. I hope you feel a lot better soon.
Hi Katy - yes, much better now. Thanks
