Could This New App Be Your Answer To Online Discovery?
I joined the new Artifact link sharing service two weeks ago. Let's explore whether it can be that much awaited channel for promoting your work.
Artifact promises a new way of sharing your work.
Launched to the masses in February this year it began life as an AI powered way of consuming the latest news articles.
However, it is its latest new feature that is getting people excited. Now, you can share your links to the platform. Their AI will scan your article behind the link and share it with people who it believes will find it useful.
It could just be that new discovery engine for your website, article or substack. I have to admit I have that tingly excited feel in my stomach about this one.
The key difference to many other sharing sites or social media is that the AI looks underneath the headline and only promotes good quality content. In this world, as the theory goes, click bait headlines that don’t deliver get less exposure. Good quality content does.
The theory is all well and good but there’s no substitute for having a go and seeing what gets engagement.
So, that’s what I’ve done.
Over the past two weeks I have shared a selection of links to various articles to get a feel for whether this app is worth your time engaging with.
In this article:
A few of the experiments I’ve undertaken in the past two weeks
My top ten links in order of engagement
Some conclusions on what might be the best way to get engagement and whether this app is worth you spending time on.
Plus - an overnight development that could give you yet another avenue to share on the platform.
Let’s dive in.
Before we go on, I would just like to give a shout out to
